Barry Fleming & Partners, together with Canaccord, were delighted to host its inaugural Ryder Cup style golf day at Wentworth that saw a hand-picked team of pilots from Virgin Atlantic take on their counterparts from easyJet. The rivalry and competition were intense, but it was all in support of a good cause, the charity UNICEF.
Two teams of golfers played a full day of golf, aided by the Wentworth PGA Professional and the clubs supporting caddies. The competition was tied after 18 holes and a playoff resulted in an easyJet pilot holding a fantastic 30 foot putt at the second playoff hole to win the Barry Fleming Cup.
Barry Fleming & Partners would like to thank all the pilots that made the day such a success, as well as the excellent support from Wentworth Golf Club.
We would also like to pass on a special thanks to the Virgin Atlantic Team Captain Tony Norris, and the easyJet Team Captain Angus Henderson, who put in a super-human effort in organising their teams for the day.
